A South Korean rapper, dancer, composer, and choreographer. He was born in Gwangju, South Korea. He is best known for being a member of the boy band BTS, and was an active member of dance groups such as Neuron and Go Artsy. He won numerous awards in dance competitions and trained at Gwangju Music Academy before joining Big Hit Entertainment. He appeared in Jo Kwon's "I'm Da One" music video and collaborated with him on the song "Animal." After passing the Big Hit auditions in 2010, he trained for three years before officially joining BTS in 2013 and participated in several albums, such as Wings.
