William Jefferson Clinton, or Bill Clinton, the forty-second president of the United States of America and the second to be impeached. During his reign, he oversaw the largest economic expansion the country has ever witnessed, and his rule lasted from 1993 until 2001. Bill Clinton became the youngest governor of a state in the country in 1978 when he took over the state of Arkansas, and he went on to become President of the United States of America in 1992. In 1996, he was re-elected for a presidential term, and during his tenure he enacted many new laws, especially social ones. He oversaw an era of economic prosperity that extended during his term. In 1998, the House of Representatives removed him from his position due to revelations of an illicit relationship with Monica Lewinsky. However, the US Senate acquitted him of this charge in 1999. Since his dismissal, he has worked at the Clinton Foundation and contributed to his wife's electoral campaigns in 2008 and 2016.
