An American actress. She was born in Hong Kong, China, on April 17, 1926. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1946. She married Joan Loring Martin Sonenberg (1956-2011), had two children, and remained with him until his death. Her most important works are: The Corn Is Green (1945), Three Strangers (1946), The Lost Moment (1947) and The Gangster (1947). She died quietly in 2014 at the age of 88.
