A British actress who was born in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, United Kingdom on February 9, 1909 and died in Santa Barbara, California, USA on December 13, 1986 of cancer. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for her work in cinema. She was married and had one child. Her most important works are: Bulldog Drummond Escapes (1937), Peter Pan (1953), and Suspicion (1941). She was the youngest of two daughters to a father working as a chemistry lecturer at Oxford University, who was killed in a laboratory explosion in 1917. Her mother moved to London, where Heather studied theater and began her artistic career working with tourist theater companies in 1926. She presented her first movie, City of Song (1931), a British-German joint movie. After making several films, she headed in 1932 to California, USA to try her luck on the Hollywood screen and presented the movie Pilgrimage (1933). Her cinematic works continued in abundance during the thirties until the mid-40s. She stood on Broadway for the first time in 1937 and presented the Oscar films Kitty Foyle (1940). She stopped for theatrical work until the beginning of the fifties, where she participated in television work and Walt Disney movies. She presented her last work in 1979.
