An American actor, born on October 3, 1890, in Louisville, United States and the son of a drama critic. Originally intending to become an engineer, he became an actor and made his Broadway debut in 1911. He appeared in The Man Who Came Back (1916). He made his first films at World Pictures in 1917. He made his mark in horror film history in Werewolf of London (1935). He succeeded as an actor on Broadway. He died on March 8, 1977 in Cornwall in the United Kingdom of a stroke. |
