A Moroccan writer and director, born in Meknes into a wealthy and educated family. She studied in Morocco before moving to France, where she studied political science and communication in Paris, before returning to her homeland, where she was interested in its women’s issues, to begin her distinguished professional career. Her first book was the novel, "Blanca's Mole," which was published in 2011, followed by another novel, The Revolution Did Not Happen. Her first documentary film, Shakespeare in Casablanca, was released in 2016. She also wrote the film The Unknown Love (2018). In addition to her novels and films, she wrote in various national newspapers and magazines, mostly focusing on the situation of Moroccan women in addition to topics related to youth and individual freedoms.
