An Italian actress, born in Turin, Italy. She is the daughter of a security chief at an automobile manufacturer. She studied piano, singing, and dancing at the Teatro Stabile of Torino, and in the late 1980s, she moved to Milan. She started working as a model and then enrolled in several acting courses. She joined the Experimental Cinematography Center (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia), in Rome on a scholarship. She also studied at the Actors Studio in the United States.
