An American actress, writer, director, and voice artist, born in Guam, a US territory in the Western Pacific Ocean. She lived with her military family in several locations, eventually settling with her family in Boston. She graduated from Boston College and began her acting career after her early years working in radio. She began hosting radio shows and then transitioned to acting after graduating, appearing regularly on stage and screen. She won the 2013 Boston Magazine Award for Best Actress for her role in Chinglish and the 2016 Award for Best Actress for her role in Arcadia. Her film credits include The Company Men (2010), Thoroughbreds (2017), and Castle Rock (2018).
