She continued to sing in opera throughout the 1970s as a leading soprano, most notably in Kiss Me, Kate (1968) and Summer and Smoke (1971), which had its world premier at the Minnesota Opera House. Later, in 1982, she recorded this performance for American television. After her initial Broadway debut, she moved to musical theater and maintained her theatrical performing career in musicals. She appeared for the first time in the film Jersey Girl (1992) and then appeared in the series Law & Order (1994). She became famous for the series (Mirrors) in 2008.
