An American actor, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. He studied at the University of Utah and obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in theater arts. He was discovered by director Orson Welles. He is best known for his role as Daddy Warbucks in the play Annie (1977) and Alban in the musical La Cage aux Folles (1983). He won a Tony Award in 1971 for the play The Rothschilds. Among his credits are Silver, I.Q., and Heaven Can Wait. He died on October 13, 2002. |
