An American actor and writer, born on June 30, 1927, in Lakewood, Ohio, USA, as Arley D. McCormick. He wrote for The Tonight Show, and among Pat's many traits was that he always had some very good, totally topical jokes. Pat had to retire after suffering a stroke in 1998 that left him paralyzed and unable to speak. His credits include A Wedding (1978), Hot Stuff (1979), and Take It Back (1992). He died on July 29, 2005, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
