Italian actress, born in Rome, Italy. She was one of the most popular and famous singers in the Italian film industry in the 1930s. She began her career with a small role in Campo di maggio (1935). In 1941, she met the director Primo Zeglio, who later became her husband. In 1943, as the war worsened, she moved to Spain, where she starred in several films. After the war, she returned to Italy where she failed to regain her popularity. She is known for Il ponte dei sospiri (1940), Nerone e Messalina (1953), and Rossini (1942). She died on October 2, 1989, in Rome, Lazio, Italy.
