An American actress who was born in Richmond, Virginia, USA on June 20, 1875 and died in New York City, USA on June 24, 1958. She married silent comedian Paul Doucet (1920-1928) and remained with him until his death. She is known for The Best of Broadway (1954), These Three...Read more (1936), Age of Indiscretion (1935), and Little Man, What Now? (1934). She began working in the theater in 1906 and was previously a school teacher. She began working under the name Catherine Calhoun until 1920 when she adopted her husband's name. She provided excellent comedic roles in theater and cinema, and since the mid-thirties. She retired in 1954 and died at the age of 83.
