She is an American actress, and she was born on August 3, 1950 in Albany, USA. Her family moved to Opa Loca, Florida. She attended High School in North Dade Jr./ Sr. High School She graduated High School in Miami Carol City in 1968 Graduated from Albany State University and moved to California to join the national tour company "Purlie" the musical starring Robert Guillaume. As an accomplished singer, she landed her first major professional acting roles through musical auditions.
