Toqa Hesham |
A Palestinian activist, born in the village of Lifta, west of Jerusalem. She was arrested by the Israeli occupation more than once, the last of which was for six months in 1988, accompanied by her son, who was an infant at the time. She starred in the documentary Naila and the Uprising, which tells her story of the first Intifada in the late 1980s. It was shown at the Karama Human Rights Film Festival in Beirut. |
