An American actor born in Missouri on June 3, 1903 as Edward Dekalb Acuff. He was known for playing supporting roles like a reporter and a cowboy, and throughout this career for 18 years he appeared in more than 260 films and TV episodes. He began his career in the early 1930's working in Broadway theater in several secondary roles. In 1935, Acuff signed a long-term contract with Warner Bros. He died December 17, 1956 in Hollywood, California, USA. From his most notable films: The Petrified Forest (1936), Back in Circulation (1937) and The Case of the Velvet Claws (1936).
