An Italian actress and model, born in Porto Santo Stefano, Italy. Her father was the Italian writer and journalist Luigi Barzini Jr. At the age of 10, she started performing. She later relocated to Manhattan, New York, USA, so that she could take part in a photo shoot with photographer Irving Penn. She became a lecturer, teaching design at several institutions, and appeared on the covers of fashion magazines. She is known for On Life, Every Blessed Day (2012) and The Disappearance of My Mother (2019).
