An American actress who was born on February 2, 1901 in Brooklyn, New York and attended the Ascent Academy. Her mother is actress Martha Daniels. She landed her first role in London at the age of 16 in 1917. She arrived in Hollywood, was signed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer to a 10-year contract in 1939. She appeared in several films between 1940 and 1969. Some of the famous films in which she acted are The Thin Man Goes Home (1944), Little Women (1949), Houdini (1953) and Some Came Running (1958). She died March 3, 1985 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.
