A Canadian actress, born in Fort William, Ontario, Canada. She married actor Robert Baldwin (1938-1993), had three children, and remained with him until her death. Cecilia Parker was born in Canada to a father who was an officer in the British Army. She moved with her family to Hollywood while she was still a child. She studied at the Convent of the Sacred Heart High School in Hollywood and practiced acting in school theater. She got small film roles with MGM, Fox, and Universal. After graduating from high school in 1931, Fox contracted with her and enrolled her in the Fox Studios School to train promising actors. Shen then appeared in several action, western, adventure, and comedy movies. She moved to MGM for $75/week and joined the MGM Ballet School, and the following year, she studied singing and participated in the famous MGM Andy Hardy series of films. Because Cecilia Parker had caused a problem with one of MGM's senior employees, she was loaned to PRC, which had weak capabilities, so she returned to MGM and then stopped for 16 years to devote herself to work in a real estate company with her husband. She returned with the movie Andy Hardy Comes Home (1958), but she did not achieve the expected success, so she decided to retire permanently and work in the field of real estate until she died in Ventura, California, USA, on July 25, 1993.
