A Turkish director and cinematographer, born in Istanbul, Turkey. He is considered one of the brilliant directors who combined traditional and contemporary directing styles in his works, for which he is known, which he began in 1988. Among the most important works he directed are the series Gamsiz Hayat (2015), Kalbim Seni Seçti (2011), and Zeytin Dali (2005), and the films Içimdeki Hazine (2018), Ahmet Iki Gözüm (2020), and Annemin Zamani (2022).
