An Egyptian poet and writer, born on March 25, 1940. He memorized the Holy Qur’an and then joined the Religious Institute in Desouk. His poetic talent appeared when he was in the preparatory stage. In 1962, he published a poetry collection entitled the Poetry Revolution during studying Al-Azhar Secondary Certificate. He obtained many awards and held many positions as a member of the Writers Union, and the Poetry Committee of the Supreme Council of Culture. Among his works are Scorpions' Hill (1985) and The Longing Returned (1984).
