An American filmmaker, born on August 9, 1983, in Kirkland, Washington. She graduated from Lake Washington High School in 2001 and received her BA from Wesleyan University, majoring in film studies and dance. Prior to becoming a director, Wilson was the film and dance curator at Performa, the New York biennial of new visual art performance. She is known for Miss Americana (2020), The Departure (2017), After Tiller (2013), and A Cure for Fear (2018).
