An American singer, actress, and television presenter who rose to fame as a singer in the Big Band era. She was known for presenting many variety programs for the Chevrolet automobile company. After failing auditions for some bands, she achieved incredible success as a solo singer. During her artistic career, Shore presented nearly 80 famous songs. Shore also appeared in some films, then moved to the field of presenting television programs, in a career that lasted about 40 years. She ranked at number 16th on TV Guide's list of the top fifty television stars of all time.
