An American actress and singer, born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on February 21, 1912. She presented light comedy, often in low-production B films, during the 1930s and 1940s, and gained fame with her eight marriages and divorces. Her notable films include: College Scandal (1935), The Contender (1944) and Sensation Hunters (1933). She died at her home in 1974 at the age of 62.
