Her father, James Peter Dodd, was a White American retired senior officer of the US state department, and her Filipina mother is Concepcion Garina. Sue is the youngest of her siblings. She attended high school at Sacred Heart School in Parañaque. Her first major role was as a supporting cast member in Mula sa puso (2011). She is known for Cuddle Weather (2019), Just the Way You Are (2015), and Finding Agnes (2020).
