Toqa Hesham |
An Iraqi writer and actor who graduated from the Cinema Department of the Institute of Fine Arts. He began his career with his first theatrical work with the National Acting Troupe in Baghdad in 1982. In 2010, he won four awards: Best Direction, Best Script, Best Scenography, and the Critics Award when he directed a script written by Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Abdel Amir at the Theater Amateurs Festival. He wrote a short narrative screenplay that won the best comprehensive work in the second session of the Iraqi Film Festival at the College of Arts in Babylon, entitled "There Is Still Light in the Lamp". His notable credits include Prophet Ayoub (2014), The Depths of the Alleys (2012), Silencer (2023), and Years' Dreams (2020).
