An Estonian actress, born on February 3, 1959 in Estonia. In 1982, she graduated from the Tallinn Ballet School, Department of Dramatic Art. She also worked as an associate professor of theatrical movement and dance. She was a dancer in the Tallinn program in 1976 and worked as a lecturer of dancing and theater movement at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater. She began teaching children's dance in Pärnu in 1982. In 1989, Mägi founded the dance troupe Lancy. In 1996, she founded the Laine Mägi Dance School and worked as head of the dance school, dancing instructor, and choreographer. She worked as a choreographer for other theatres. She is known for Dance Around the Steam Boiler (1988) and Rahu tänav (1991).
