An American singer, songwriter, and actress, born in Harlem, New York, USA, to an Indian mother and a British father of West African descent. Her childhood was influenced by many different cultures. She received an acting scholarship, but left to join the Sweetheartz, a girl band in Hamburg, Germany. She received acting training from Marvin Smith, Kevin Smith, and Lincoln Tighe. She toured Europe with the band between 2005 and 2007, and won numerous awards for singing and acting.
