An American actor born in Wichita, Kansas, on January 28,1886. Over three decades Sam appeared in nearly 200 films, and he often played the role of a porter, servant, or doorman. He's known for All Through the Night (1942), Captains Courageous (1937) and I Was Framed (1942). He died in Woodland Hills, California, on September 24, 1962 of throat cancer, at age 76. |
