American actor born in Athol, Massachusetts, on March 28, 1903 as Charles Robert Starrett. He won a Golden Boot in 1983. Charles married Mary McKinnon, they had two children and she remained with him until his death. He's known for The Mask of Fu Manchu (1932) and Our Betters (1933). He's also famous for starring in 65 films of the Durango Kid western series, from 1940 till 1952. He died in 1986 of cancer, at age 83.
