He is a Canadian writer and producer, born in Toronto, Canada. His writing debut was three episodes of The New Adventures of the Black Stallion (1990), and his first co-production was Neon Rider (1989). He is known for Stargate: Atlantis (2004-2009), Stargate SG-1 (1997-2007) and The Outer Limits (1996-1998). Among his numerous awards and nominations are the Leo Awards, the Gemini Awards, and a Banff Rockie Award.
