She studied acting in Milton Katselas's acting workshop. She appeared in several stage productions, such as "West Side...Read more Story", "The Mousetrap", and "My Three Angels". She made her debut in 1979 and appeared in several works from 1979 to 1982 but was most famous for appearing in Poltergeist (1982). She was murdered on 4 November 1982 in Los Angeles, California, by her ex-boyfriend, just 19 days shy of her 23rd birthday.
