An Italian director, born on September 5, 1954, in Florence, Tuscany, Italy. Her works include Pezzi unici (2019) and Hotel Colonial (1987). She received her diploma from the University of Television and Film Munich. Her TV movie L'Aquila della Notte won in 1993 the award for Best Director at Umbria Fiction, the awards for Best Film and Best Leading Actress at Sichuan in China, and the Valmarana Award of the Italian Cinematic Press Union. Torrini also won the Public Jury Award at the 1999 Monte-Carlo Television Festival.
