An American actress, born in San Francisco, California, USA. She was a silent screen comedienne with previous experience in vaudeville, stock and musical comedy. She began her career in 1907 as a comedian in musicals, marrying Harry Griffith. Their children, Graham Griffith and Gordon Griffith, were famous child actors.
In 1912, she began acting in short films. Since 1916, Griffith was part of the L-Ko Comedies, which often collaborated with Dan Russell on such short films as The Right Car But the Wrong Berth (1916), Murder By Mistake (1916) and Heart Sick at Sea (1917). She became known for her role in A Little Princess (1917). After that, she had prominent roles in films such as Pollyanna (1920) and Huckleberry Finn (1920). She died of a cerebral hemorrhage on October 17, 1921 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
