An Iraqi novelist, film director, and screenwriter, born on 3 November 1960, in Baghdad. He studied music at the University of Baghdad before working as a director of dozens of programs, films, and dramas in Iraq. When he was in exile, he wrote a number of narrative fictional works and story collections, such as "Diaries of the Absence of Dew", and "Lower - Private". He won many literary and appreciation awards, most notably the Iraqi Cultural Creativity Award for the Cultural Programs Category in 2010.
