An American actress, whose father was a Swedish immigrant. She became a model in 1936 before signing with Paramount Pictures. She made her debut with Three Cheers for Love (1936). She only had starring roles in a few films, such as What a Blonde (1945), and appeared in more than a hundred films, including Chicken Every Sunday (1949) and Love Me or Leave Me (1955). She died of cancer on August 16, 1973. |
