Salma El-Sharkawy |
American actress and writer, born on February 20, 1926 in Eagle Rock, California, USA. Her father, Harry C. Whitney, was a U.S. Secret Service agent who had served as a bodyguard to President Woodrow Wilson and other political officials. She attended 16 different schools as she travelled around the country a lot. She worked in theatre groups in the Los Angeles area while studying at Pasadena City College. Besides appearing in several Pasadena Playhouse productions, she participated in many films and TV shows. She is known for her roles as Hazel (1961–1955), My Gun Is Quick (1957), and Mannix (1967). She passed away on September 28, 2002 in Edgartown, Massachusetts, USA from esophageal cancer.
