A French actress, born in Bordeaux, France. She began her acting career at the age of fourteen, and had memorable roles on screen and stage, including Mayerling (1936), Her First Affair (1941), Bille en tête (1989), Corps et biens (1986), Une vie à t'attendre (2004), and Oh La La! (2006). She also appeared in several plays, such as Oscar and the Lady in Pink, by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt, for which she won the Molière Award. Her last film appearance was in Pièce montée (2010). She died on October 17, 2017.
