An American actor born in Ashtabula, Ohio on June 29, 1885. He began his career on stage and appeared in Ziegfeld Follies in the 1920s. He turned to cinema at age 50, where he appeared in films, including Sing and Be Happy (1937), Phantom Lady (1944), Riding on Air (1937) and Hoppy's Holiday (1947). He died in 1976, at age 90. |
