American writer and producer. She studied writing at Wesleyan University and the University of Virginia and received her Ph.D. in literature and creative writing from the University of Houston. She has received awards from Inprint, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Sewanee Writers' Conference, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. She is known for Little Fish (2020), Apex, and The Staircase (2022).
