American actor, assistant director, and producer. He was born on July 4, 1907, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. In the American film industry, he was one of the first child actors. His career spanned five decades, during which he appeared in over 60 films, from silent films to those with sound. He collaborated with Charlie Chaplin during his acting career and was the first person to play Tarzan on film. He is known for Huckleberry Finn (1920), Tarzan of the Apes (1918), and Penrod (1922). He passed away on October 12, 1958 in Hollywood, California, USA
