A Canadian-American actress of Italian and Irish descent, born in Toronto. After her father's death, she and her mother immigrated to the United States and settled in Chicago. While appearing in a school play, she was discovered by Selig Polyscope Company, and at the age of 16, she made her debut in the short film When the Clock Went Wrong (1914), and by her twentieth birthday, she was a movie star. Her credits include The Gulf Between (1917), The Song of Life (1922), Daytime Wives (1923), and The Night Patrol (1926). She died on October 8, 1963 in Los Angeles, California, USA.
