He finally pursued a screen acting career after spending four years on stage, and he worked with the World Film Corporation, Universal, Pathé Studios, and Goldwyn Pictures. His screen debut was One Good Joke Deserves Another (1913). Among his notable works are Dangerous Crossroads (1933), Dangerous Pleasure (1924), and The Phantom (1931). He married Elaine Baker, a Broadway actress. He died on November 21, 1976, in Laguna Niguel, California, USA.
