A British actor, born in London, England, on February 25, 1934, and died in London, England, on June 11, 1993. His notable work includes Carry On Up the Jungle (1970), Carry On Matron (1972), and Krull (1983). He is best known for his work in 14 films of the Carry On film franchise. He received a scholarship to train at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he won the award for Best Promising Actor. He also worked on radio and television and made his film debut in The Men of Sherwood Forest (1954). Bernard also participated in many commercials, taking advantage of his height. He died of a heart attack in 1993 at the age of 59.
