An English actress, born on April 3, 1950 in Sussex, England. She is the sister of the actress Janet Thomsett. She has three older brothers. She grew up in nearby Brighton and attended Elm Grove School for Babies and Young Adults. One of her brothers offered her a successful audition for The Max Bygraves Summer Show. After that, she appeared in several pantomime shows until she left high school to attend Felden School in London. She produced several films for the Children's Film Foundation and appeared in several popular TV series, including: Theater 625, Dixon of Dock Green, Nearest and Dearest and Z- Cars. She also starred in the comedy series The Very Merry Widow from 1967 to 1968.
