An American actor and voice artist, born on April 18, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He started his career as a singer on a radio program before WWII, and after the war, he transferred to TV work, taking advantage of his good appearance. He also worked in films and provided voices for animations, but he spent most of his career in television. Among his notable works are Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993), The Poseidon Adventure (1972), and McHale's Navy (1962-1966). He was married to Joan Marie Rice, with whom he had four children. He died on June 30, 2014, in Burbank, California, USA, from prostate cancer.
