She appeared in commercially successful Hindi films and won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her role in Aashik Aawara, and went on to appear in several films such as Bhookamp (1993), Krantiveer (1994), Baazi (1995), Karan Arjun (1995), Qila (1998), and Censor (2001).
