An Australian film, television and stage actor born in Perth, Australia. He performed on stage and radio at an early age. He served as a flight lieutenant in the RAF during World War II. He arrived in England in 1947 and began his career in theater and television, and in 1954 he appeared in cinema. He married lawyer Gertrude Willner and they had a child, with whom she remained until he died. Among his notable credits are The Guns of Navarone (1961), The Trygon Factor (1966) and Room at the Top (1958). He died on February 8, 1988 in London, England, at age 67. |
