A Belgian-American actress and dancer, born in Brussels, Belgium to Belgian parents. She became a champion figure skater and a beauty queen in Belgium. She also studied philosophy and languages, learning to speak English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Dutch. She made her first visit to the United States in 1946, and began her acting career in 1950, when she first appeared in the film Tomorrow Is Too Late. Among her credits are Happy Anniversary (1959), Sugar Cookies (1973) and Fearless Frank (1967). She died of cancer on January 25, 2020.
