An Argentine cartoonist and animation director of Italian origins, born in Santa Giulietta, Italy. Before he was four years old, his father lost his job, so he decided to immigrate to America in search of a better future, and he chose Argentina. Before finishing high school, he worked for a short time at the Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, after which he soon worked as a caricaturist for newspapers that at that time published political comedy and satire of politicians.
He was hired by Federico Valle, a producer of newsreels, to work with him and use his talent in animation. He's known for making the world's first two animated feature films as well as the first animated feature film with sound. Among his notable credits are El apóstol (1917), Peludópolis (1931) and Los que ligan (1919). He died on August 2, 1984 in Bernal, Argentina.
